How Are Projects Initiated? A project begins with the client describing a problem or need. From that conversation, a no-cost preliminary quote or proposal is developed. Once the project is approved, a detailed statement of work is developed that more completely defines the goals, interim steps, processes to be used, expected outcomes, project, timing, and final pricing. The statement of work is approved by the client before project work begins. This careful up front planning helps assure a successful result. Often the project is separated into phases with an evaluation planned for the end of each phase. The client has an opportunity to review results at the end of each phase and decide whether mid-course corrections are needed—and whether or not to proceed with the balance of the project. Interim reviews allow the client to manage changing budgets and adjust project direction to assure results. |

How Are Projects Priced? Pricing can be by the hour or by the project, or a combination of both depending on the services needed. The project scope is always defined with the client’s budget and requirements in mind. Usually a purchase order is required, but for small businesses who do not use purchase orders, a partial upfront payment can be arranged as an alternative. Multi-phase projects are priced separately and invoiced at the completion of each phase. Some direct costs, such as postage for mailings or travel expenses are identified separately and may be invoiced immediately after the cost is incurred. Changes to the project after approval of the statement of work may necessitate an updated quote, and Business Answers Consulting promises no surprises. |

What Post Project Support Services Are Available? At completion, a printed or electronic report (as directed by the client) is provided as a standard part of the project. Phone support for report clarification is included in the base price. For additional cost, any of the following can be arranged: management or staff presentations, project leadership or follow up coaching to assure implementation of the recommendations. |

How Can Clients Help Assure Success? The most important step is to work closely with Business Answers to assure the initial statement of work is comprehensive and accurate. And second, assign an individual as the primary contact for Business Answers Consulting; an individual who can make decisions, coordinate internal support, and provide information quickly. |
